A licensed architect and LEED-certified professional with over 25 years of experience, Mannix served as both Program Manager and Project Manager for the U.S. Department of Education (ED). His government clients include the Defense Health Agency, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the Army Corps of Engineers, Naval Facilities Command Washington, National Defense University, the National Institutes of Health, the U.S. Agency for International Development and the General Services Administration.

He has a keen interest in sustainability, maintaining a LEED Accredited Professional Building Design and Construction credential. He specializes in hoteling implementation, hybrid work environments, and supporting facilities departments as agencies scale down their workspaces. He holds a Master of Architecture degree from Yale University.
